Sioux Falls Thunder 2024 season opener.

The Sioux Falls Thunder began their 2024 season with a home game against Joy AC. 2024 brings lots of change for the Thunder, new owners, coaching staff, and lots of new faces on the roster.

Joy's Owen Salzwedel was able to hit a long ball over the keeper in the 19th minute. The score would stay 0-1 until a long throw into the box by Robert Amaro resulted in a goal by Natinael Ayalew.

The game ended in a 1-1 draw.
